From the graph above, the 12/10/32S External only leads its older internal brother by 1 second, most likely due to firmware improvements.  CD-RW Writing Time All the 12X writers post virtually the same mark. There is no difference between the internal and external versions of the 12/10/32S in terms of CD-RW creation performance. However, that doesn't mean that they perform poorly. The 12X PlexWriters can even outperform Yamaha's LightSpeed 16X writers. That goes to show, sometimes, you have to take a look at the big picture, not just a performance rating by the manufacturer on the outside of the box. |
