| COM Surrogate has stopped working... FIXED! |

As a Vista user I've been seeing this fucking error message for years. Anytime I viewed a folder with video files in it... BAM!!! Well, I finally fixed it by simply removing the DiVx bundle/codec. I've got Nero Extra Crispy installed to handle the decoding of DiVx files so I haven't missed anything. Hallelujah! | | Is there anything else i can do with this OC? |

yea, well 5 years later i finnally overclock my athlon 2600 because lately its been fumbling around like a drunk.
one thing i forgot about was its a barton 333mhz
i got 1 gig of 3200 ram, one corsair, one dan gave me
all this time ive been running the system with these specs, 166mhz/11.5x/1.65v/dram v2.6v
3dmark03 (lol dont laugh)
before: 6282
after: 6684
so i realized i coulda been running 200mhz all this time, so i did some oc'ing and came up with these results. Is there anything else i can do? Think i can go higher? Ive never been an overclocker (oem stable and cool i prefer) and ive fallen out of the loop since 2003 when it comes to this stuff
in windows im keeping a steady 40c (volcano extreme 12) even while piddling on the internet and in photoshop (my usual habits) | | OfficeMax - 15% Off Bag Event |

Go to your local Office Max and save 15% off whatever you can fit into one of their bag/box things. The bag is supposed to be in your local newspaper but I'm sure they'll have it at the store as well. If not, just ask for it. OFFICEMAX | | T3D makes me soooooo glad.... |

that we're not /. or digg or any other tech site sometimes. I get so tired of fanboys (of any side) that any discussion simply turns into BS or arguing. I was reading /. about whether windows xp vs vista vs win 7 vs your mom is better...The comments just got annoying about who knows more about this or that or how vista sucks because I hacked my own driver to run crysis on a p3 gateway. I bought this today and installed it to the 360 hdd.
this game is quite awesome. An awkward quiet intro, malaria? make quite an odd beginning to a game.
After shooting down the first 3-4 objectives, i can see this game is pretty awesome. My only gripes so far.. When it get dusk you cant see shit! I must have my brightness too low or something because when that sun begins to go down its very hard to see the enemies. Second, the save system sucks. Looks like you can only save at the safehouses and if you die you gotta do that shit alllll over again. That sucks pretty bad.
It looks phenomenal and plays well, when you get to hiding and flanking and scoping out, i really begin to feel like im in the game. But whats even creepier is the fact that this shit is going on over there RIGHT now. Playing a game based on that is kinda weird to me
So far i love it. | | Score! | |

So my boss's computer "broke" aka XP crashed and would freeze upon start up. So he asked me to recover all his files while he bought a new computer and told me I could have his old one.
It's a Dell Celeron processor, basically a 2.4 GHz crippled P4 & 512MB ram. I tested it and it passed memtest 86+, then I installed some Corsair XMS ram that I thought was bad and it passed memtest 86+ again! It is so old that it doesn't even have SATA ports lucky I have a 400GB IDE hard drive just sitting around.
Now I have a computer that is a perfect fileserver! This thing will be so much cheaper to keep running all the time than my P4 3.0E with a 7800GS (soon to be Pentium D & 9800GT) and 6 hard drives and a 600watt PSU. | | Dell Small Business - Dell Vostro 220 Mini Tower Computer with Intel Dual-Core Processor, 2GB Memory, 160GB HD, DVD Burner and 20.1" UltraSharp LCD Monitor for $429 with FREE Shipping!
