Using the camera for taking still photos

The camera is very easy to use once you read the manual and turn it on. The small LCD on the back displays everything from battery level to the flash mode. Navigating the menu is as easy as pressing a button, and selecting your preferences. When you use the camera in this capacity, there are a few things to note. There is a power-saving feature, which shuts the camera off after 60 seconds. This seems like a good idea, but more often then not, the 60 seconds would end right as I was about to take a picture, which meant pressing the power button for a second or two, and hoping that the I could get the shot I originally missed. This was extremely annoying. It would be cool if Logitech could set this at 2 or 3 minutes, or let you set it manually. My Nikon Coolpix 880 has a similar feature, which turns the monitor off after 60 seconds, and is easily changed or disabled in the setup menu.
Another discouraging moment happened when I initially hooked the camera up by USB and downloaded the images. I had taken it to the San Francisco Zoo for my initial testing and had taken about 20 pictures at the varying resolutions, as well as a few movies. Upon transferring the pictures, the camera deletes them from the smart media card by default (this can be changed before you transfer them), and for some unknown reason, my pictures never made it to my hard drive, though the software reported a successful transfer.. I don't know if it has to do with not running the camera application once before trying to upload images, or if it was just a one fluke, but nevertheless, it almost earned the camera a trip across the room at a fast rate of speed. After I gained my composure back, I decided to give the camera another shot, and after taking some miscellaneous pictures of anything in my immediate vicinity, I was happy with the camera again.

Let's take a look at the camera's specs and some pictures.
