Another neat feature of the camera is the ability to be used as a security camera. Now, if you live in a seedy neighborhood or your bratty little sister keeps deleting your Domo Kun wallpaper, this might be a way to catch her in the act. You simply press the "activate motion detection" tab, and follow the directions. You can see that the setting for sensitivity can be adjusted and at the setting I had it at, the camera detected movement at least 4 feet away. The camera records video until the motion is gone, and saves it to an AVI file for later review. One thing I thought was odd was the camera makes a little chime sound when it starts recording. Now, you would think that by default would be silent for stealth, but it isn't. Of course, you can turn the sound off. As you can see you can set the alert to a barking dog, or even a police siren. Imagine the video you will get when someone walks into the room, or is goofing with your PC and they hear a loud bark. Someone at Logitech has a great sense of humor.

We've looked at pretty much everything this camera can do in its web cam capacity, so let's take a look at how it performs as a regular digital camera, shooting both stills and video.
