Benchmarks 3DMark2000 ![]() In 16bit mode, the MX performs very well. Anything above 3000 points is very playable. I wouldn’t mind playing games at 1280x1024 when they are set to 16bit. At 32bit however, things get a little slower, but then again you get a better quality image. ![]() Above you see the drop in points when we switch over to 32bit. The images produced do look better, but you get a performance hit. For 32bit gaming, an MX would play nicely at 1024x768. I don’t recommend going higher though unless you’re playing things other than first person shooter games like Quake 3 Arena. If you’re more of a strategist who plays games such as Starcraft, then you should have no problems playing at extreme resolutions like 1600x1200. Let’s take a look at some punishing graphics. |
