BAPCo SYSMark 2000

Here you see improvements care of the extra FSB increase featured in the KT133A chipset that is not present in the KT133. This also requires support of a 266MHz DDR Athlon to take full advantage of the speed increase.

Significant improvements are seen from the extra FSB bandwidth in the ZD productivity benchmarks. Personally, I don’t think there is a reason to consider boards based on VIA’s KT133 chipset any longer. If you’re in the market for a motherboard/CPU combination for your business needs, a KT133A based board such as the Iwill KK266 and a 266MHz DDR Athlon will do you very well for quite some time.

Regular content creation such as Photoshop and other image programs really benefit from extra memory bandwidth too. Make sure you have loads of RAM for those types of programs though if you’re a heavy graphics media person.
