This is one of the most stressful games to come along in a long time. Aquanox uses heavy volumetric lighting and texture shading features that other games don’t even come close to using. All these features equate to heavy bandwidth that only the GeForce3 can handle. The inefficiency of the GeForce2 architecture leaves the GeFoce2 Ultra behind the rest of the GeForce3 cards. It’s also important to take note that the GeForce2 doesn’t fully accelerate DX8 protocols and features and so a greater performance is the consequence. MDK2 32Bit ![]() MDK2 really scales well with a faster more efficient card like the GeForce3. We’re witnessing anywhere from 30 to 40% increases in performance between a GeForce2 Ultra and a baseline GeForce3. With NV25 pending, we’ll see even more performance as it includes extra pipelines as well as faster core and memory speeds. |
