I used a 1.2GHz (200FSB) Thunderbird on the A7V and a 1.2GHz (266FSB) on the A7V133. If you overclock using FSB and you don’t adjust the multiplier, then you effectively increase both your computer’s entire subsystem and processor speed. However, this isn’t the case. The performance increase you see above is just care of increased FSB speed. ZD Content Creation Winstone 2000 ![]() Once again we see the same expected increase in performance. This should come as no surprise to you now, now that you know the main differences between the two A7Vxxx systems. Let’s move forward. ZD High-End Winstone 99 ![]() From here on, you’ll see the same types of improvements occur throughout all the benchmarks. Don’t jump to conclusions and reward the A7V133 with the top crown though. I’ll make a comment about these two boards at the end of the benchmark section. This benchmark utilizes programs like Adobe Photoshop to stress the system. Photoshop loves memory and thankfully I stocked both systems with 512MB of PC133 SDRAM. |
