just cause they stop selling it doesn't mean your CD copy and your install of XP will spontaneously combust into a smoldering mess. If you like XP, well that that is just great. Keep on using it.
If the only other choice offered by the auto company was a Ford Excursion, then YES, I'd be upset. Leaving off the fact that many people, some even on these forums, have had chronic problems with Vista, MS' new OS is more bloated and slower than XP, without offering anything really worth the cost of upgrading, and incompatible with much software that is currently in use. In point of fact, SP1 is incompatible with some software that was compatible with Vista. New cars that are incompatible with the US highway system and gas stations would also not likely be as popular as "six year old" cars. Also, considering service packs, the OS can't really be thought of as six years old, since a lot of it is newer, and parts of it are pretty much brand new!
