Best combination of performance and quality: 800x600 with 32bit color, Use high res textures, Use detailed textures, Use weather FX, rain, clouds, enable fogging, Lower water tiling and rain splashes to lowest, Lighting and Shadows on objects on, Draw distance on lowest, Shadow Maps, Light Glows, and volume lighting on. Highest quality: 1280x1024 with 32bit color, Everything turned on and set to highest. Conclusion Lionhead has created a wonderful game and I recommend it to everyone. Black and white simply adds new life into games and I expect games of similar play to be just as good or just as creative. It takes a lot to run this game if you really want to experience all it has to offer. When I first started playing the game, I didn’t think much of it, but it grew on me steadily and I’ve been hooked ever since. Black and White is an excellent game in my opinion and apparently in other’s as well. I hope you’ve found a setting that works for your machine. Always remember that a speedy game starts with a speedy system. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to email me here or visit me in channel #tweak3d on irc.enterthegame.com on IRC. I hope this guide has given you an idea of what you need to run Black and White and how the game options will affect your gaming experience. |
