Next up: The Ugly

Now, I can be a nit picker, but lets face it (you love it), when you spend over two hundred bucks on a case, you want it perfect, as if it were have hand-crafted by Jessie James. You want your friends to se it and say, "Damn, where can I get one"? You want a...a…a Picasso, well…uh…you get the point… As far as workmanship, the guys over at Xoxide.com do a very good job, but I found a couple ugly things, and I'm going to share.

First, the website for the case shows 4 USB ports on the front of the case. You can see here clearly, as well as a quick check of the explanation of the case on it's website which states, "Two easy access USB ports in the front supplement the two in the back to add to the functionality of the case. No longer do you have to climb around to the back of your case to connect and disconnect your USB devices. When not in use the four ports can be concealed with the latched door. " So which is it, the picture shows four ports, and its mentioned below, I got confused to the point that I wasn't sure if they sent me the correct case, but instead something in its place. Someone needs to get this straight, but hey, no one's perfect. I screw up all the time, just ask my tax person…

2 missing USB ports...Where'd they go?

Second, but equally annoying was the fact that I couldn't get the front bezel LEDs to work, no matter what I tried. This isn't a huge deal, but it is annoying, I mean, I don't need little LEDs to tell me the PC is running, but they come with the case and they should work. Just to be sure I didn't pull a newbie move and put the leads on backwards, I switched them back and forth several time; no worky…

DOA LEDs...And yes, I tried the wires both ways...
