All detail settings were maximized, but other than that, default options were used. ![]() Quake III shows about exactly what we would expect considering the system we used to test. The GeForce3 Ti500 can match the Atlantis at lower resolutions where CPU is a bigger concern than video, but when the FSAA is turned on, the GeForce3 card takes a major hit. The 9800 Pro-based Atlantis shows almost no signs of slowing down. ![]() The difference in non-FSAA is significant, but either of these frame rates would be perfectly playable. However, when the FSAA is enabled, the Sapphire card still screams forward at nearly 120 FPS on a 2.0 GHz P4. Yes, at 1600x1200. Yes, with 4x FSAA enabled. Even when we tried 6x FSAA, the frame rate only dropped a bit more and was entirely playable. |
