Samsung 1200NF

Conclusion

Currently selling for around $750 in the United States, the Samsung 1200NF is not an item for anyone short on cash. For those who can afford it there are certainly grounds on which to be satisfied with your purchase. It delivers in the areas it should within its intended sector and suffers really from only marginal geometry errors at some resolutions. The price is about right being what you would expect to pay for a similar specified Sony (such as the F520). Cheaper models usually compromise on video bandwidth meaning lower refresh rates at higher resolutions, yet again something to be vigilant about. An added bonus of a nice USB implementation completes the package as does the informative manual not to forget SmartScreen software. This all combined rewards you with a tempting offer. Should have the means to overcome the high price we are certain you will come to appreciate the 1200NF day on. As with all monitors it is worth checking on how the items are shipped due to it sometimes being possible that in transit they arrive in a sub par condition varying from the intended original. This would certainly reduce the satisfaction one may have from using the 1200NF.

    Pros:
  • 22 inch aperture grill tube, 20 inch visible
  • Resolutions up to 2048x1536 at 79Hz NI
  • 340MHz Video bandwidth
  • Good USB port implementation
  • Great image quality with right setup
  • Extensive options within OSD

    Cons:
  • Slight geometry problems at some resolutions
  • Time consuming OSD adjustments to get best results
  • Slightly overpriced
