Posted: April 26, 2000 Written by: Dan "Tweak Monkey" Kennedy Bump Mapping, etc. The kick-ass NSR provides such stellar effects as bump mapping through hardware, with near perfect calculations and minimal "dimples that should be pimples" and vice-versa -- you know, they look like they should go out but actually go in, etc. In addition to this, since all of the bump mapping is done on the textures, there is no reason to use excessive polygons and geometry.
The per-pixel bump mapping is very realistic. These pictures do little justice...
