Analysis and Conclusion

The WinFast GeForce2 MX has everything you need to get the job done. 3D performance was right up there with the other MX based cards. The WinFast doesn’t have composite video-out but it does have an HSF to ease your heating worries and it just plain looks cooler than a dumb-downed heatsink.

The WinFast also overclocked very well and yielded some good improvements from memory speed increases.

Summing Things Up

Performance:
[ 9.2/10 ]

The performance for the WinFast is top notch for its class and it is probably one of the better cards out there on the market. If you are in the market for an MX cards, the WinFast should be at the top of your list.

Innovation:
[ 8.5/10 ]

The WinFast didn’t really add anything to making it innovative besides the inclusion of a HSF. Everything else on the card is based on reference design.

Installation and Setup:
[ 10/10 ]

Nothing went wrong and installation is as simple as that.

Bundle:
[ 7.5/10 ]

Leadtek included the typical DVD player and other utilities and programs such as Colorific.

Price:
[ 8.4/10 ]

Currently, the pricing for a WinFast MX goes at around $140US (found on www.pricewatch.com). That’s a tad more expensive than what the ASUS V7100T goes for but it’s still in the cheap price range.

Conclusion

Leadtek has done a great job in delivering a great value gaming card that gives extreme bang for your buck performance. I would keep this one at the top of my list. Personally, I really dig the HSF. Thanks for reading.
