Each test is also performed in three different antialiasing modes. They include none, quincunx, and 4x (OpenGL) or 4xS (D3D). Each test is also performed with the card at default speeds and again with the card overclocked. The overclocked speed of the card is a 320Mhz core and 735Mhz RAM. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 3Dmark2001 shows the biggest margin of difference between the two cards out of all the tests run. However, 3Dmark is not real world games, so the real world games tests will be more accurate than any synthetic benchmarking program can be. However, most of the scores are still very close to each other. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Running Quake 3 Arena is where we actually start to see the real world difference between the two cards. As you can see, there is hardly a difference at all. Once you get up into the 100’s of frames per second you can’t really tell the difference while playing the game, so either card would suit anyone very well. |
