Summing Things Up

Performance:

Performance here was at the top of the class. The Enhanced WinFast GTS is definitely the best performing GTS out there and for a good price too. Couple this card with a high-end system and you have an ultra fast card without an ultra high price.

Innovation:
[ 9.4/10 ]

This is definitely my favorite GeForce2 GTS based card. Self-diagnostics, monitoring, and an enhanced heat dissipation system bring together a well-designed card. It’s the little things that go a long way.

Installation and Setup:
[ 10/10 ]

I must have inserted like 16 different GeForce based cards in the last few months.

Bundle:
[ 8.5/10 ]

Leadtek should really change what comes bundled because I keep seeing the same thing over and over and it’s starting to hurt my eyes. But nevertheless, I can’t argue much considering its price.

Price:

Pricewatch (www.pricewatch.com) lists the Enhanced WinFast GTS 64MB for $255US. At this price point, it’s practically a bargain considering other 64MB GTS cards are costing upwards of $290 to over $300.

Conclusion

Leadtek is just getting better and better with every single release. And the new Enhanced GTS just shows the amount of consideration and thought that went into the design of this card and why they designed the card in the first place. Obviously they know the market place and they know the end users.

The question that needs to be asked is whether it’s a wise idea to buy now considering that NV20 is just around the corner. However, there are lots of people buying GeForce2 MX based cards out there because of the value it packs. Besides, not everyone can fork out money to buy a new video card every time something new rolls out the door. The new Enhanced WinFast GTS 64MB from Leadtek is a real value filled card. There are many features that you would not expect to see in a card priced this low. If I were in the market for a GTS right now, I wouldn’t even consider another card. Good job Leadtek!
