Posted: December 1, 2000 Written by: Tuan "Solace" Nguyen Unreal Tournament 4.32 Even though Unreal Tournament leans heavily on what type of CPU you have, we threw it in for good measure and for those UT junkies out there who hate Quake 3. Obviously our processor limits our scores. Ironically, I’m running this test on a 1GHz Thunderbird Athlon so it’s funny that I say the CPU is limiting the UT scores, but this appears to be the case (or maybe it's the UT engine's support of Direct3D). Since this is the case, I doubt going to 32-bit mode will drop the scores by a noticeable amount. Let’s take a look and see. My guess was right. Unreal Tournament plays well at practically every resolution. If you’re a UT fan, have a large monitor and like playing at insane resolutions, then the Prophet 2 Ultra will not disappoint you. Basically this card can run any current game without a hiccup. You can quote me on that. |
