The Test

In Internet Content Creation where memory bandwidth is a vital ingredient in achieving a high score, the 7VRXP only scores 1 point higher then its KT266A counterpart, the 7VTHX+. This is most likely due to the fact that the 7VTXH+ is running the memory at a CAS latency of 2, compared to the 7VRXP which is running the memory at CL2.5.

When it comes to Office Productivity, we see the 7VTXH+ pull ahead of the 7VRXP by one point, as office applications mainly rely on how fast the memory is compared to the amount of memory bandwidth available. The results would most likely reverse if you get the 7VRXP to run at DDR333 CL2, as the board has no voltage controls which made it hard to stabilize the system at CL2.

When it comes to memory bandwidth, the 7VRXP doesn’t offer much advantage over the 7VTXH+, as it only improves upon its KT266A predecessor by 2%. Once again, the 7VRXP doesn’t have much to offer performance wise.
