Benchmarks

3DMark2000

Very nice scores, the fastest that I’ve seen. All this mass speed really comes from the improved memory speed. More speed means more bandwidth, especially with DDR memory. With the GeForce2 GTS, performance was capped by memory because there just wasn’t enough breathing room for the GPU to do its job at 100% performance. And that really hurts performance.

Keep in mind that the original spec for the GeForce2 Ultra calls for 500MHz memory, 40MHz faster than what the Gladiac Ultra is clocked at. Try pushing the memory further.

32-bit performance is also very strong. And the Detonator 3s really help in terms of adding performance boosts via drivers. Hardware isn’t everything, drivers are also very important to making sure the hardware is performing at its peak. Here we see the same kind of speed as above but everything drops a little because of the switch from 16-bit to 32-bit. Still, even with the change, the Gladiac Ultra holds its own and introduces scores never before witnessed by my eyes.

Let’s go to some real world gaming performance, since these marks are based on synthetic benchmarks.
