Elsa gave a more direct warning about FCC/CE approvals and such. You'll notice that the current setting is 340MHz for the memory and 207 for the core. The defaults are 333MHz and 200MHz. We managed to get the card all the way up to 363MHz and 235MHz -- Probably because we have the case open and another fan blowing on the card itself along with Elsa's own heatsink/fan. At times we would get Windows Protection Errors when the card was set to high though. I also found that the card didn't get along well with my Diamond Monster Sound MX300. Everything works when the MX300 was disabled in Device Manager but when it was enabled and Windows was booting, I either got a Windows Protection Error or it'll just reboot right before it enters the GUI. ![]() Here's something that's not available with nVIDIA's Detonators -- monitor settings. Elsa's monitor settings allow color change, resolution change and customizable refresh rate change. The standard Adapter refresh rate in the normal Display Properties don't give you many options, and sometimes it won't let you choose the appropriate refresh rate. With this little utility, you save time from having to use a 3rd party refresh rate utility. |
