Conclusion

I have spent a lot of time listening to music over the years, and have always been happy with how the music sounded on speakers costing less than $100.00. Like I said in the beginning of this review, I never believed in spending a lot of money on them. After listening to the 210Ds, I have changed my mind. I honestly now feel that if you are going to spend good money on a PC, you need to consider speakers a higher priority right up there with CPU and RAM. I never realized how versatile they could be, nor did I have any idea that a high end set of speakers could produce such excellent sound. These speakers retail for $299.99, and in my opinion they are worth the money. Granted this is a sizeable chunk of change, but if you consider that they will easily outlast your PC in terms of becoming obsolete in a matter of years, the investment is obviously solid. Add to that the fact that you can use them on your home theatre, and if you have one, your electronic drum set, and the 299.99 seems more reasonable.

Many might complain that they are not 5.1, and I have to honestly admit that I prefer a 2.1 setup, though I haven't heard any high end 5.1's. Just the fact that the 210Ds are so easy to set up and move when you want is enough to convince me that I am not missing much. Then again, if you watch DVDs on your PC, you may have a different perspective. Overall, you get a great set of well-made speakers, which look good in any setting, and produce solid bass, clear mids, and flawless highs, giving the listener a truly wonderful experience.
