Test methodology

Note: In order for any given memory to classify as stable it had to complete several runs of each software without resulting in any errors!

Test 1:
We tested each of the memory offerings from various manufacturers to determine the highest timings each could run at while maintaining full system stability. The timings were tested at the following speeds: 400, 433, 466 & 500MHz DDR. These were later recorded and used for conducting further validation in test 2.

Test 2:
The timings data obtained from test 1 served to run each of the memory offerings from the various manufacturers at their best possible performance setting at given speeds. As in test 1 the memory bus speeds were 400, 433, 466, and 500MHz DDR. In order to test performance differentiations between these products we used the software as described in "Test setup".

Test 3:
As a final test we tested each and every memory module with the intention to seek its highest overclock bus speed.
