voice over ip sucks shit unless you own a phone sex line. i used to install that crap, its more trouble then its worth.
My ex-wife has the cable company's phone service (which is basically VOIP) and it's terrible. Just this weekend we'd call there and it would ring, then the ring would change tone, and then "We're sorry, the number cannot be completed as dialed...". They could call us fine. And a few months ago it was fucked up where we would call and it would go to somebody else's house! And it didn't happen to everybody that called them, just about half. Which pissed that other guy off, let me tell you...
