    for fucks sake...

discovery channel and history channel have already been taken over by bible studies.. now the last of the dying breed, my favorite channel, has been overtaken by this garbage. I estimate in 2 months more bible crap and ghost/paranormal shows will start taking over.

im paying premium cash for premium channels for specific media.

this is NOT cool. Who the fuck is behind this "push"??
if it continues it will be the nail in the coffin as far as getting rid of cable tv.

Of course not, but isn't it sad how I just summed up the History channel in one (believable) title?

Science > bible. Pitiful that they've stooped to this.

Did anyone actually watch those shows? Or is this a haterade drunk fest based solely one the word "bible"?
I watched the whole series. It wasn't religeous at all, it indeed was science. Prooved a few claims possible, made no claims as to probability, and called BS on a lot more.
The last of the series shed a big light on the role of the Roman government in the creation of the bible and the RCC

Besides, there wasn't anything else on to watch....fucked night for TV.

I watched a couple of episodes and find it very interesting. The investigation is done from a scientific point of view not a religious pov. So far I like this series which is NOT faith or fear based.

The Lost Gospels episode is a must see.

It was the one I got the most out of. Validation on natl. TV. I thought the red sea thang was a bit of a stretch though.

"Biblical Mysteries Explained" can be disproving religion, because they can find scientific explinations.

But we have had this conversion many times, BS shows about aliens, bigfoot and fucking ghosts are taking over "science" and "education" and "learning" channels.

TLC prooves your point and I don't even concider it a channel any better than the Soap channel. DIY and HGTV......the same. If these channels want to offer nothing but shit, I'll find something else to do. It's not like I have an addiction to them where they can pull any shenanigans they want and I will still watch them. Lately I've been turning the TV off due to re-runs of everything on all channels I usually watch.

I actually watched the science of the bible shows, definitely pandering to what they believe is their core demographic. It's a pity how far these channels have fallen, I barely watch cable TV anymore.

    whiskas...
this is how the "bible takeover" starts. they show us a little something that might have some relevance to science.. but by the end of the week theyre shoving other pro-religious concepts and shows down our throat.

this is the beginning of them putting their foot in the door.
next it'll be "the science of crab fishing", then next week you got a fucking marathon of rerun crab fishing bullshit.

Wiskas vs Torx, who will emerge as the Conspiracy Nut 2010 champion? :)

But I hear what you're saying. It the same with news outlets that pander to a particular political party or ideology. Limbaugh and Obermann shout their hateful rhetoric constantly, and it has a strong effect on the weak minded. Brain washing. The second I sense some sort of slant I'm changing the channel.

Torx think of it this way... if you want to understand the other side and what you're going against you're going to have to learn about it.

I agree with Whiskas though... just because something says "biblical" doesn't necessarily mean it's strictly about faith (the key component in ANY religion).

I don't get it Torx. Those shows did more to disproove claims of "miracles" made by religeon rather than prop up the lies religeon has sold the masses since way before common era. This is why I asked if anyone even watched the series. Organized religeon was exposed as mass brainwashing/manipulation for the most part.
