Trust me...I hate painting. Just getting my house organized to get this stupid hardwood flooring in, and I'm painting everything and just when I think I'm done...there's more painting.

I know there is some light at the end of the tunnel, but it doesn't feel like it...ever. I feel your pain.

Well none of us live in a perfect world so we all understand (i hope) that everyone gets their own fair helping of shit. This being said... it's far better to bust your ass in your young and strapping days rather than when you are starting to fall apart due to normal wear and tear. That's all I was saying.

Heh, I should have called you today, I forgot your schedule though...

I got a lot done today, but still have a bit more painting to do tomorrow, then a few touchups here and there.

I'll be moving all my stuff over Saturday Sunday, but it won't really be set up for like two weeks at least. Finals in school :(

I realllllllyyyyy want to paint some of the rooms in my house, but I've got way to much to deal with right now, and everything is in perfect condition to, they couldn't have been painted more then a couple years ago at most, I just don't like some of the colors.

Got a lot more done today, more finishing of trim, ran a rug shampooer thing in the bedroom, pulled a bunch of tape, and moved more things over.

    Here are some teasers:

So I'm in the upstairs of that building. I told you it was funky :p

There is the living room, complete with strange stained-glass UFO light and wood stove.

And finally because my thanksgiving dinner blew, and I've been neglecting food recently, I made myself something satisfying. 3 scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. 3 thick slices of bacon, 1 croissant, 1 strawberry yogurt, 1 large mug of whole milk.

    Damn.

    It was good.

More work to do in the morning, trim to finish, floors to clean, a sink to fix, a bathroom to wipe down, and stuff to move in.

if you don't take karate lessons, I'm going to be very disappointed ;)

but seriously, isn't it weird living upstairs from a business? Are they going to be pissed about your music or any uh "other" loud noises coming from your place?

The karate place actually went out of business a long time ago, but the sign remains.

The current downstairs business is a boat parts supplier, don't know much about it.

It used to be the family business, furniture stripping and restoration. My dad and grandfather built the upstairs to live in on top of the original 1-story.

Is it weird? I don't know, I haven't moved in yet. Will it be? I don't think so, I haven't heard anything from them in the time I've worked above it so far, and I doubt they hear me since I keep the music down when they are around. After that I can be as noisy as I want.

Do you get any free heat from downstairs (yet;) ) I think it's a cool apartment. Wood heat is something practicle given the work you do. Do you have access to the roof? I'm thinking solar power and roof gardening.

That's a good spot to be in the event of a zombie invasion. 2nd floor, lots of shooting positions. Roof access?

Shooting attracts more zombies, use a silent weapon and limit attracting the zombies. RTFM! (Zombie Survival Guide)

I've actually gone through this scenario a few times, and it is indeed a good spot for the Zompocalypse.

There are only two ways in, both narrow stairs:

You have to get through the locked garage door, then go up these stairs, to the top of a very solid locked door.

And this is the only other way up, these narrow stairs to the landing, then another set to the door, which has a metal security door in front of the standard door.

Roof access is possible, but not that easy, you have to do some climbing but it can be done when needed.

Now I Just need a high power rifle and 1000 rounds.

And I'm not even joking about that.

Well, I'm tearing down my desktop to move it, and probably won't have internet for a few days so I'll be scarce around these parts for a bit.

    Toodles!

Anyway, I like your pad Fiddy. I've always wanted a loft apartment over a business, preferably a strip club or bar. :)

Well, the strip club (Sands) and attached bar (Thunderbird) are like 3 blocks down the street :p

I got all my stuff moved over today and have some of it setup. I actually don't have my internet/tv/phone hooked up, but found a wireless signal, so I'm good for now.

Funkay! That'd be more cool if you ever decide to go into business for yourself (you could lease the place down yonder).
