I got an email from VacationExpress.com this morning - 3 nights in a decent hotel in Cancun, flight, and hotel transfers for $199! I forwarded it to my travel buddy and he wants to go, but my dilemma is that I know he doesn't have the money and will probably put it on his credit card. Not to mention his girlfriend is constantly making comments about wanting to go to the Caribbean, and once again he's going to take off without her and go with me? I just think it's a bad idea for him, but I really would like to go. What should I do? On a related note, he stopped by my house the other day and gave me a bag of pot out of the blue. Weird...
I'm not going to try to persuade him about it at all. He's a big boy, if he wants to charge the trip it's none of my business. I've voiced my concerns, so if he decides to go my conscience is clear. And truly I'm neutral on the trip. I'm going to Little Rock again in about two weeks, and I'll be in Phoenix with my wife at the end of September. I like to travel and everything, but it's getting to be a bit much.

Well, false alarm. He got wise and decided against it. He doesn't even have a funcitonal PC right now because he's been too broke to fix it, so a trip to Cancun really was a bad idea...
Well, the flight is from Cincinnati, but there are other Vacation Express hubs (Atlanta, Orlando, Indianapolis, etc). After taxes and misc it's $296 per person - flight, room, transfers. Not too shabby...
Nope, sadly Vacation Express has no Canadian hubs. If you could get a cheap flight to Cincinnati it still might be a good deal...
