I am learning that my roommate's brother is on a team that was ranked the top in the nation for their division. Pretty cool stuff. I was curious as to whether or not anyone else here plays or has heard of his team. His team's name is Trademark Gaming. I guess that a few teams have already played today, so they dropped down to 4th place. They still have the highest RPI. Just thought it was kinda cool. man, i remember when CS was the shit back in the day. However, i never played because i lived in the middle of nowhere with a 21k internet connection. all my friends played though. Some people get pretty intense playing that game. I tried to play it once but had no idea what I was doing and I sucked lol.
i used to be addicted. almost as bd as some WoW players. now i just don't play. it doesn't run very well on my laptop.
I have been getting into it more recently. I found this one server that I like to play on a lot. It has good speed, people are pretty friendly and fun to play with, and haven't seen any hackers on there. It's like the good old counter-strike days.
Hackers seem to come in waves, with the latest wave being these last two weeks. Fortunately there's almost always at least one admin on the GC servers, so the aimbotters and speed hackers get dealt with quickly.
I still play, mostly DM since it's easier to hop into and then leave when you're bored. I find that people play too seriously on normal servers, and I get irritated fast. Steam name is .x if anyone wants to add me.
1.4-1.6 on my 56k, I could still get into the top 3 even then. If I had Cable/DSL it would have been nice but my dad was to cheap, eventually I just ordered the Cable but had quit by then.
I played for years, got bored, cheated a whole lot and stopped playing about two years ago. I miss it, but if I start playing again, my life will be over. I was pretty damn good too (without the cheats).
