This thread is all lols all the time. It's great.

You know, I've been involved in a fair bit of motorsports in my lifetime and I have never ONCE seen a Maxima take a win (or even show up).

I think the problem is that a competitive racer just wouldn't pick a Maxima because it's just not capable of winning its class. Whether it's Solo2/Autox, Solo1/Trials, SCCA runoffs or any kind of drag racing; the Maxima is classed so poorly (it's in the slowest class) that nobody would pick it because there are a dozen other cars out there that are lighter, cheaper and have better suspension straight out the box and also have much more capability.

Nobody gives it a chance because it's uncompetitive so it gets forgotten. Props to you for spending the time and money on it though, it's rare so kudos to you man! :)

    Your generation is about 3400lbs.

For your reference, something like a Miata or CRX/Civic is about 2000-2100lbs/1 ton.

yes but we have so much more room then a civic. what i meant is its light for the class. compared tot he accord, Lexus, BMW, even the g35 or m35/45 its light. plus if you shave off about 300lb with a cf hood, trunk, and removing the 3" plate behind the passenger seat, lighter seats, lighter rims, .... the jack and spare are about 60lb in its own.

s63? s550? AMG is the way to go. my first car was a 420 sel not amg but dam Benz are fun

You'd be surprised actually. Same generation Accord as your car is about 400lbs lighter out the box, G35 is nearly identical in weight and the same-era 3-series is around 400lbs lighter with the exception of the 328 which is about 200lbs lighter than your Max

Heh, I was expecting it earlier than that, to be honest with you. Not good to ruffle feathers like that. At least not without being around a while first.
