Lesson learned. Toyotas are boring and crappy, Hondas are fun and much nicer.

I still have both for a few weeks but I'm selling the MR2 as soon as possible.

This 2000 S2000 has a lot of miles on it but runs perfect and looks great. I spent 6 months looking for a clean red car that was stock. I love it.. I missed my white w/ red car for so long. I have a lot of stuff planned for this car and for now just accumulating parts and having fun while getting rid of the other one. Of all the cars I drive, I still love the S2000 best. I probably drive around 5 different Porsches and a couple other sports cars every week, 50-200 miles most weeks. I still love getting into my Hondas.

I've still got this baby too! From a wash day a few weeks ago:

I still love this car and couldn't imagine selling it. She runs like a bastard for a little hybrid and I beat the piss out of it. Average MPG is around 52 driving like I do, maniacal around town and cruise at 70-80 on freeways.
86mcss and Dustin said thanks for this.

I think they're okay with 10-15 MPH over the limit typically.

Yes and no about working on it. Front engine has some benefits, but the MR2 was actually pretty easy to work on. The S2000 has big fenders so that's tricky to work around. I've done top end / engine builds on both of these cars and the MR2 was pretty easy. I also did the clutch twice on it, it wasn't that bad really.

So you've already got the ap2 bumper with the cr lip, any other cr or ap2 parts?also, buy a team voodoo counter suck shift knob from ricks2k. Best 40 bucks you'll ever spend on the car.

Nope just ap2 front and cr. I like the look without a wing so I won't change it.

Based on your recommendation for ricks gear on my gpw '01 I did do that shift knob, console and floor mats. This time I tried cheaper mats (waiting for them) and the black with red stitch console cover. Also keeping the stock shift knob this time (hmm)- had it in my Insight and love it.

I'll update with pics soon. Just got some new ZII Dunlop 16s to go with my JDM BBS forged 16 super light wheels. Pics to come soon :)

Car also has BC coilovers which I need to dial in and an NSX type R steering wheel with quick release.

Aw man! That misses the whole point of the car. The NA engine is fantastic. I'd never try a turbo on this unless it was a full on race car. Also the roads around here are all twisty and hilly. It's not like that area with straight grids and farm roads. The car has more than enough power to get you in plenty of trouble :)

Oh yeah, forgot you had an s2k before. Still, fun car and the red looks great.

Sucks that they cancelled production of the S2000. Is there a comparable car in production now? Only thing I can think of are Z4s.

Not for the price they offered the s2k at. But for the driving experience, the 370z, miata, cayman, and lotus Elise are pretty close but usually more luxurious or heavier. The s2k can't really be beaten for the rawness and sheer fun of driving.
