Anyone use undercoat or other rust proof paint-like things?

    Friend of mine is moving to Missouri but he just bought a brand new mazda 3, was just wondering if anyone has experiences with recommendations

    I always pay the extra bux for good undercoating when I buy new vehicles.

    I would suggest looking into waxoil as an alternative.... I've been far more impressed with the results of that process than undercoat. I've had a lot of undercoat just peel off randomly, though I certainly wasn't using the best of materials, nor was the surface it was applied to in great shape.

    hmm i didn't know that was even an option, dealer probably didn't even offer it since its southern california after all

    The dealers around Oregon usually don't offer it as an option but sub contract to 3rd party outfits to have the work done.
    Some makers will offer it as an option, but you usually have to ask for it. It's the same with rhino liners.
