A good buddy of mine bought some ebay "repaired" amps, but he was wondering where he could get it done right, cause it looks like they fubar'd the hell out of the install

he said it does power on and work fine though, hes just worried about the maybe smaller components used, and the quality of the repair that might not let the amp play anywhere near its max power

i took some high res pics, let me know if you guys need higher..

hes worried that they used an improper sized transformer (donut shaped thing right) as one is too small for the amp, he said it came with the tape on it, on the transformer thats too high, maybe to keep itself from grounding on the casing? DSC08651.JPG DSC08652.JPG

DSC08657.JPG as you can see, one of the edges are lifted off causing the problem, a DSC08662.JPG nd the transformer doesn't match the circle, so its too small?

here is also another amp, repaired years ago

he was asking for my opinion, but i don't know amp internals that well, the most i've done is install a system :p but yeah hes wondering where he can get it repaired right, maybe with mil spec components? and i figured what better place than to ask here

    I dunno.....an electronics repair shop?
My thoughts are: if it works....don't fix it.
