Well I got my 360, and I also have a pile of shit TV. I have a nice, nice LCD computer moniter though ( Hyundai L90D+ ). Is there a way to hook my xbox up to my LCD moniter and get a tight ass picture?

I know that XBox has the VGA cable that you can buy, would that work, just hook up the vga to the moniter and I'm ready to go? If that was the case, would I have to plug and unplug the vga every time I wanted to switch between PC and XBOX?

Also, on a side note, If anybody knows how I can do this for cheaper than getting the VGA hook ups please let me know.

yeah you would have to unplug it from your computer everytime, but I haven't seen the actual product yet so I'm not completely sure. you can also plug it into your computer if you have a tv tuner and run a tv program and switch to aux-in to achieve the same effect, except with the computer on and monitor not disconnected.

if your LCD monitor has aux-in built-in (which is unlikely) you can just use that...

There use to be a VGA box where you would hook your video card to it than to the monitor and a 2nd computer to the vga box as well, than you could switch between pcs.

ok so exactly how would that splitter work? I don't understand how the Xbox and the computer both hook up to it. Could You explain, I mean I see 1 video in...does that mean I would hook the Xbox 360 to the video in, then just use the DVI from my computer to moniter and VGA from that box to my moniter, then when I switched the box on it would over ride the DVI input from the computer?? Sorry I am a little confused on how this would all work.

That looks like its one puter to 4 monitors!

all you need is a kvm switch, something like this (i know its uk, but they have a usa site, and i'm sure newegg is cheaper, but i'm in the uk so i'm f**ked)

I have one of those switches... its called a KVM switch. Keyboard, Video, Mouse switch. They have 2 PS/2 and one VGA with two sets of each keyboard, video and mouse plug. On mine you hit a series of keys on your keyboard to switch on some you just flick a switch on the box. you dont need the keyboard and mouse hooked up to switch output devices for your display. They go for about 50$ CAD

Don't some modern LCD monitors have an SPDIF connector? And don't HDTVs have a DVI port? I thought XBox 360 had both...

yeah I have been recomended that kvm switch by another person too, I just don't get how it hooks up to everything. Please if some one could explain it, how I would have my 360 and my pc hooked up and could toggle the two systems with one moniter. Maybe somebody could make a quick bitmap explanation for me. Thanks for all your help guys.

BTW: I picked up that VGA adapter for my XBox....WOW!
