    i had a premonition.

    SOPA WILL pass
the stuff we're reading now about how it will affect us.. its conditioning us and preparing us.. so when SOPA does pass, we'll be like.. "oh well we knew it was going to happen this way"

i forsee mass panic and violent sprees and protesting in the usa. hence why obama just signed the NDAA. thats the foundation for the SOPA and PIPA acts.
if we the people act up, we get sent off to prison for little to nothing.

    its begun, and noone cares.
i made a thread about sopa weeks ago, but noone here seems to give a shit

What should make sense to us...

    Not so good

Sadly, Mr. Torx may not be far off. Not considering the NDAA. We were on our own way before that nonsense.

As stupid as we want the gubmt to be, they know we have guns and we're not hapy, and if our guns break, we can get more guns.

Bing and Yahoo will be wringing their hands with joy. :) It'll be a huge joke if they all do this blackout, and everyone does fine without them. Businesses who depend on stuff like Google Docs and cloud services will be less than amused though. I think this bit of self sabotage will make many companies rethink their cloud strategies...

That business-loss model being used against GoDaddy works both ways, and big business has longer memories and more lawyers than the unwashed masses! ;)

It may get interesting. I don't depend on them or the cloud so I can watch from the sidelines.

So I literally did miss the boycott, which I thought would be either:

    A.) weak, or...
B.) incredibly damaging to their bottom line in the future.

So weak was the flavor they picked, shutting down the internets during the time when most folk wouldn't be using it. I came here to post "where is this blackout they talk of?" since I literally noticed no difference beyond the little red SOPA Soapbox messages on lesser websites.

I was at a couple of websites that put up the banners that get put up on websites that have been taken over by "the man", but obviously edited so as not to alarm the raging masses.

Well...time for carrier pigeons my friends. They can carry a 64GB flash drive with lots of music and movies, can't they? :)

Heh. The revival of the old-fashioned sneaker-net, and maybe the old-school BBS! Hey! I can once again play Legend of the Red Dragon the way it was meant to be played! ;)

Edit: LOL! Oh Noes! Google's DOODLE IS DOWN!!! ROFLcopters and LOLerskates!

Wikipedia is still down as of right now. Their home page is up, but when you do a search it blacks out. Google has their Doodle of a big black box over their name, amazon has a link on the right hand side, reddit is down, and I'm sure there are more sites out there doing something to protest, even if it is just a banner.

These sites actually get the most traffic during the business day, when they blacked out.

Everyone knows that's because there are no Spanish speaking people in America.
Anyone who speaks Spanish is an illegal immigrant. *sarcasm

    pathetic protest.

its all pointless because its going to pass anyways.
remember, google has been censoring the internet for years now, blocking out websites from search results, etc etc.

What the fuck does that have to do with anything? You can use a different search engine. It's much harder to use a different internet
