I'm going to be buying a new (used) car in about 6 months, but I don't want to get all hyped up on a car if it is considered "gay" or "girly" in the car world.

Just a random sampling of cars I've been considering:

Mercedes E430 4D, white, tan leather interior
BMW 325ci 2D, white, tan leather interior
Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Ed, maroon, grey leather interior
Chevrolet Trailblazer Limited Ed, maroon/white, cloth interior

Any other suggestions?? These are just a few that have caught my eye, and i'm not sure how much I want to spend yet. I def want leather interior though. And a sunroof if these cars have one.

well the only people i know who buy/drive cherokees and trailblazers are women and soccer moms. gay? yes
Mercedes and BMW are for pretentous assholes who have more money than they know what to do with...not necessarily gay cars but their will be some questioning of sexuality if you dont know why you picked the E430 over a E550

i was about to get a 325ci, ironically, the person i was going to buy it from was a girl... those are nice cars but a little slow with something like 185hp. get the new 335ci with 300hp :D
    (i know you said used)

Mercedes makes awesome cars. If you get a well maintained Mercedes it should be a damn good car.

I've always liked BMW, but could never afford something that wasn't old as fuck.

Jeeps are dope too. Slower and worse gas mileage than the previous two, but you can offroad, sort of.

I have no experience whatsoever with the Trailblazer, other than I've seen them on the street looking gay.

Avoid the Mercedes and the Chevy, they are both at the bottom of the barrel in terms of reliability (check out ConsumerReports.com). None of the stuff you selected seems gay to me, but I would personally buy the BMW given the choice.

Alrighty then, not answers I was expecting to be honest...

Someone mentioned that only girls get the E430, but I couldn't see why??

I'm thinking of buying a 2002 or newer, between $10k and $22k. Hook me up guys....

I like the beamers myself. I've had a hard time staying away from the solstice though. 27 grand brand spankin new and the saturn version is even hotter. I'm not out for super speed or power, just fun.

Get what YOU like, FTW, You drive it. Fix, fuel and finance it. Reliability should be your key concern. If you like it you can make it "not gay"

Those are very different vehicles. A GM SUV, a Jeep, and two German cars... one a four door no less. Do you want an SUV or a car? Do you want a 4 door or a 2 door? If you get a car, do you want something luxurious or sporty, or both?

I would say the Jeep Cheroke cause you can mod the shite out if it and do some severe camping with it!

    I miss mine....

But tweakmonkey has a good point - what do you want it for? is it a commuter vehicle - you plan to go camping? etc...

drive back to work, 5 days a week, and probably do some minor driving out of town. I haven't really decided what I want, now I'm looking at one of the new Pontiac G6s. White, put a nice set of wheels on there, darken the windows and I think it would be nice.

Personal experience having owned 2 envoys, and 2 more in the family, we have never had any problems with any of them, besides my first one had a turn signal recall (the signal would get stuck "on"). Really comfortable, and everyone says it has one of the smoothest rides they have ever felt.

:: sigh :: no, and the GTO post that Will put up has added more choices. I'm awful with big purchases, so it'll probably be 'til next summer. Meanwhile, I'll keep driving my Honda Civic that is paid for.

I'd go with what ever has a higher resale value.

So I would say the bens or bmw, both look nice.
