Every video I play is stuttering. I don't mean laggy (the video buffers well ahead of the playhead) either. Just moved to chrome but it was the same on FF. What gives?

Hah.... it's like every 10-12 seconds there's a tiny hiccup type of glitch. Sort of like a particle of dirt hitting the needle on an LP.

On Mac YouTube is still Flash, right? Maybe blow away Flash and reload?

Yes, via built in Chrome plug-in. I'll see what I can do. Thanks.

Are you using AVG antivirus? I had that problem with it's website security checker.

check your plugins, might be something crapping out page rendering and youtube access.

also, youtube has random servers that you can access. clear your cache, change your dns, and reload youtube. sometimes if a youtube video plays slow as hell, i just refresh the page and the video will play better because you just refreshed onto a new random server.

firefox 4 beta 8 has been delayed, to hopefully next week.

This may be nub-ish, but try uninstalling flash/reinstalling flash. Or try the HTML5 youtube.

I use the HTML 5 site and I have no problems. I had all kinds of trouble with the Flash site though.

Reinstalling flash fixed it. But I also started using HTML 5 version of YouTube as well.

    Thanks guys.
