A way to make a horrible job more interesting, I guess.
Wow! I wonder what flavor of mental illness you would call that. Obsessive compulsive for sure, but holy shit! But on some level it's just a little more extreme than the way a lot of people live their lives. Is this really any different or worse than Farmville?
If he want's to spend the time doing it, and in no rush to get it done, why not?
In related news, a house collapsed after a rainstorm. Authorities have concluded that the house's foundation had been undermined!
^^^ I thought about that too. But maybe he's got a little construction permit?
Hey you wanna go play trucks in my basement?
So long as I get the dump truck.
WTF? i would loose my mind after 20 minutes of doing that.
*Corrections: A previous version of this article said Joe had been working on the project since 1997. Joe came in contact with Carscoop and told us that he was practicing the hobby of radio controlled models since 1996, but began the basement project in June of 2005
2012-2005 = 7
This story cracked me up. I mean, it's like something a kid would do but for 15 years! What dedication, too. I imagine he wakes up, drinks some coffee + breakfast, clocks in and unloads the tractors from his RC trailers, then gets to work.
the only thing i can think of is...
dude piled up dirt in his basement, has a hobby of expensive rc toys, setup cameras to watch his own skills maneuvering them, records and puts on internet for other enthusiasts.
i cant see this guy actually digging out a basement with these.
LoL@ "A Canadian guy named Joe"
