    2001 Buick Century 40k miles $2,000 "it was gonna be $4,000 but since my folks were paying half my aunt cut me a deal. Thank God, because half of 4k would have killed my saving right now."
    Got it from a family member. I still miss my truck, but 20yrs+ and a hard life it was time to let her go.

    Savings must not be very big if 4k was gonna kill it

    It was $28,000 but, the last 6 months have been rough. "I had choice use my time to make money or use my time take care of the folks. I still think I made a good choice, but it kills funds."

    you have acquired the second least interesting W-body ever.

    but it's okay, i've gone through a 90 grand prix, a 91 grand prix, 95 monte carlo, 00 grand prix... all of which were reliable and economical cars.

    now you just need to find some parts from a Regal to de-grannify it.

    BTW, should you have issues with it or questions, feel free to join the W-body.com community, not all of us are insane about the cars themselves, but we are a pretty tight-knit community.

    That's a hell of a price for such low mileage, nice score.

    They are a decent car. 250000 old folks can't be wrong. :wink:
    Good score on the price Gog. I like the ride buicks have.

    Man, you know it's bad when Torx hates on your 90s American Sedan.

    There's not much left that's made in USA other than big sedans and tobacco.

    I have a 98 Lumina that runs like a fucking beast @ 180k miles. Never had one problem with it and the a/c stills blows ice cold with not one recharge.

    good score.

    Four wheels and a motor with low mileage for $2000? Seems like a score to me :)

    My dad has driven that generation of Buicks for the last 5-6 years and loves them. Very comfortable, and fairly reliable. The only downsides to those vehicles are the electrical systems (have seen a few nightmare gremlins that involved bypassing factory wiring altogether), and also that the intakes are made of plastic (warps easily, common issue is intake gasket failure). But overall they are a great car. Will run well over 250,000 miles with very little work and be very comfortable doing so.

    Great score!

    Just needs a lift kit and 30's playa.

    ...and you know you need that 8000K HID kit from ebay. :D

    That's a good deal. I sold an '01 Century about 2 years ago with 150k and some minor issues for $3000. Black folks love them things. Not to mention 3800s are easy as piss to work on, probably why so many hicks like them. Decent motors too, I guess. Unless that one is a 3100, which it probably is because it looks base model. In that case, sucks for you. 3100s are garbage. And yes, I know I'm late to this thread.

    Oh boy. I can just picture this. "Why won't the car turn on?" "Oh, you forgot to turn on the fuel pump switch, and the coil pack power switch" "Why does it run like shit?" "You forgot to turn on the MAF sensor power switch!"... "ok... now why won't it go?" "Oh, there's a switch under the seat to turn the power on to the TPS"

    Century = 3100
    Regal = 3800

    Whoops. I was thinking of a Park Avenue or Lesabre.
    What can I say, they're all crap to me. No offense GOG. :D
