Post a pic of your work environment.

It's a work in progress. Just moved in a few weeks ago. I need something on the walls besides LCD's and Plasmas so I've been told. :p

Same kind of stuff and some new responsibilities. I have the title of Vice President of Media Services so pretty much anything that falls under media is my responsibility. Video, photography, print advertising, web design, social media, etc. I have assigned someone to handle all of the social media aspects as well as another person as webmaster. I'd like to eventually get an artist (illustrator) on board to handle all of the print but that's on my lap for now.

I already have that position filled most of the time. ;)

I would take a picture of my desk but we are not allowed to take photos in our lab. Its basically two 22" monitors, a handfull of desktops, a laptop, KVM for it all, two SAS/SATA bus analyzers and some other shit. Its pretty messy actually so maybe its best I can't take a picture, I might give MSP an aneurysm.

I'll participate in this thread after they put my name on the window and finish moving my furniture in... Maybe like a week or so?

Lurker, i love your space and the wall color, but no windows would drive me crazy! Do you do a lot of editing in there? The editing suites at NYU were painted this deep blue color... Loved being in there to edit (or nap) :)

Yeah I usually shut and lock the door when I'm editing. The lack of windows would suck if it was a typical office but for editing as you know sunlight causes glare. I'll sometimes spend 14+ hours in there and other days I'll just go in and grab some equipment and take off for the day. The color is nice. I usually have dark colors like you mentioned but this is good for a change. Post yours up when your name goes up. ;)

Let's just say I've got a 42" led tv to my right, a dell ips 30' to my left (one of 6 in the control room) and 8 20" work screens in front of me. And all of them are running windows 95 lol.

Lurker, what are those speakers and what amp are you using to drive them. Thinking about doing something like that with a sub.

Worked in an actual office for the first time yesterday. Oddly enough, by the time I move up to HQ- it'll be time to leave again. So my office for the next couple of months will actually be airplane seats, conference/convention centers and hotel rooms.

Been busy as hell the last few weeks, but finally got a free moment to upload some pics. Here is the job that we tackled today. The couple we were working for was an elderly couple (75+ years old) that has lived in the house for over 40 years. They always took great pride in their landscaping, and cared for it diligently up until about 5-6 years ago. Over time, the landscaping fell apart. The bushes were all overgrown with a lot of dead spots, and the trees were looking much more like bushes due to the suckers and extra sprouts coming up out of the ground. They asked us to clean up their yard. I didn't have time to get before pics, but here are the after pics.

Those pics were the front yard shrubs after we got them back under control. There were quite a few dark spots throughout due to inadequate sunlight from not being appropriately pruned.

This was a continuance of the shrubs, with a few others and a privacy tree they planted for the bedroom window.

These shrubs were barely identifiable, and had very little shape to them. So, we pruned them down and shaped them to look good again and promote healthy growth.

These shrubs were the worst part of the job. They had grown up about 2 feet from the eves, and the home owners wanted them brought back down below the windows and cleaned up on the sides. Wound up having to hand prune the larger limbs (some were 3" plus in diameter), then shape them afterwards.

When I'm not on the job, I'm generally stuck in my basement workshop repairing/sharpening/tuning chainsaws. I just got everything organized so we can keep everything up and running smoothly. I have an air compressor, plenty of tools, an electric chain sharpener, and every other tool I should ever need to keep these beasts running.

Having as many chainsaws as we do, they always need sharpened or tuned... Damned things are temperamental.... But, we have managed to keep everything rolling thus far. Been a crazy ride!
