you ever had 3hrs of available sleep time due to heavy workloads, life, drugs, etc etc..
and you wake up after the 2nd hour and it feels like you slept 8, and you STILL have an extra hour to nap. That extra hour sometimes also feels like another 8
you wake up alert, fresh, and energetic feeling like you slept 10 hours, but only 3..

I've only had two hours and no, I do not feel refreshed at all. let's just say, that when it comes to being married, MSP has absolutely nothing to complain about.
    I'm seriously thinking divorce here.

The key is the amount of REM sleep. You can get by with less, but you need a system. More likely the drugs are just fucking with your perception and you're not getting adequate sleep.

No, I feel extremely sleep deprived if I get 3 hours. You're probably too roided out to notice Torx.

And I also am saying "wtf" to that reply.

I get by just fine on 5 1/2-6 hours of sleep/day.
Concerning the "WTF"....just read any one of Ryan's marital rants and multiply what he's going through by 3 and you'll get my drift.

Ask anyone that's been married awhile.....marriage will rob you of sleep and naps. It will also put an end to: lineare thinking, sex, creativity, free time, and too big of a bank account to name a few things. Try it (marriage) and report back in 10 years.

My marriage is pretty lousy, but it hasn't robbed me of anything. I'm in control of my life and my house and am overall really happy. I just have this stranger living there too, weird huh? But she helps pays the bills and washes my underpants, oh and one of the kids seems to like her. I like the stranger well enough, maybe acquaintance is a better word to use. Or roommate.

Just do those sleep cycles... good luck :)

FWIW I slept about 20 hours yesterday. I think this is the magic number.

    Chime in!

I USUALLY sleep 5-8 hours a night. On the weekends, we sometimes put ALL the kids down for a nap, which gives us a chance to nap.

I can have a power nap for like an hour and feel way more alert than I do after a 5-8 hour sleep, but all depends on what I was doing before I went to sleep/power nap.
