As it was brought up in the nose-teapot thread, it's time for Tweak's tea thread!

My girlfriend got me into drinking tea regularly a few months after we started going out. In a day, we usually have tea at least two or three times. I have a hot water maker in my dorm so it's all pretty easy.

For the most part, I drink Bigelow Constant Comment. It's a delicious blend of black tea and orange zest. Might not sound like the most appealing thing, but it's absolutely delicious with milk and sugar!

And at night when we don't want to drink caffinated tea, we either have whatever decaf black tea is on hand or a yummy chamomile blend I discovered back home. It's a honey vanilla chamomile/rooibos tea and it tastes like delicious cake, again with milk and sugar.

I like brewing with a french press coffee pot or a teeli filter.

As for my preferences, it really depends on what I'm doing, the time of day, the climate, etc.

For a morning pick me up, something black like an English Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, or Earl Grey (bergamot, fuck yeah) hits the spot. Not only do you get the entire effect of the caffeine to wake you up, but you also get the awesome mouthfeel from an overload of tannins.

As the day progresses, I'll usually go for the Asian type teas. Green, white and oolong are all fantastic. I love some Jasmin Downy Pearls (assuming I can afford it), and Sakura Sencha when it is in season. I believe the cherries are harvested around April.

In the evening, my general tea of choice is a Rooibos. I can't really do the caffeine at night.

    Coffee, french roast. :)

But when I drink tea I try to make it green tea. You know, for the anti-oxidants and all that.

I drink some Chinese loose-leaf, usually Lychee Black or Apple Oolong. Also a Silver Needle. No idea what the names mean, but they are all pretty awesome.

I usually add either a squirt of artifical lemon juice (lasts an eternity in the fridge) or a cinnamon stick.

Love this stuff with some honey.

The most splendiferous tea I've ever tasted!

I also used to buy black cherry loose tea from the Asian food store in Springfield before that fucking tornado destroyed it.

I'm waiting until I run out to buy something different.

I don't buy teas, I pick my own. My usual combination is young blackberry leaf, chamomile, peppermint and st.johnswort tea.
I started harvesting rather than buying back when i tried being a mountain hermit for a year. The flavor and potency is so much higher than store bought stuff.

This is awesome. So when you harvest it, do you dry it out? How do you go about doing this?
