Get Windows 7 Home Premium for $30 With a College Email Address - Deals - Lifehacker
At $30 I might actually pay for 7.
same here. does this let you download a copy after it is released in october?
Students: Get 8 Windows 7 Professional Keys for $19 even a better deal
If you're a comp sci major or some other computer field and go to certain schools, right? Not any student can just get 8 windows 7 keys.
Take about an hours worth of quizes and get it for $10
I got Vista, because it was only $50, and I figured I'd end up installing it once I got a better computer, but it seems 7 is the obvious path. Not sure when I'll actually build a new computer (1.6GHZ Athlon, 1GB RAM!!) but I guess there is no reason to install Vista...
so... do I buy 7 on this deal???
yes, you should.
Darktides, you have to be an employee at a store to get that deal right?
I would. I've been using the 64bit version for 24 hours and it's way faster than vista ever was.
Edit: forgot to mention that my boss is using it on his ~4 yr old laptop and has no complaints.
Or see if you can get it for free from MSDNAA. I checked, and my school offers it. I just need to contact the guy in charge--whoever he is--and ask him to create a username and password. At least that's my understanding.
I was gonna say this yesterday but I think the reason this "deal" is out may have something to do with Apple's OS 10.6 update selling to anyone for $29. (64 bit update, can clean install, etc)....
i dont have my school add anymore nor do i even remember setting one up.
can someone hook a nigga up?
has anyone tried the expertzone yet? what do you put for company?
I tried expertzone and stopped when I realized I needed a store number.
I just got my copy of Ultimate from ExpertZone. I do work in a valid retail location, however. And I had to fax them my paystub.
yeah an employee of a company in the list, we don't sell any products but we were in the list of companies
Just got a copy of Windows 7 Professional through MSDNAA at school. Gonna load it up on VMware to make sure it's an RTM. If anything I'll load it on my desktop and buy Ultimate for my laptop...or the other way around.
So, 'Home Premium' doesn't even have Windows XP Mode? That blows.
And I don't even have a DX9 graphics card
Signed up for this, did all the required quiz things and then this:
lol^ that sucks dude
so i took all the tests and whatnot for the 10 dollar offer. i just said i still worked for my old job at best buy store 856 in bakersfield. then got my old paycheck stub, scanned it in, changed the dates, and boom! (i do it for free printers at hp also)
if anybody needs a fake stub let me know. use store 856 in bakersfield ca. phone number 6615870675. or just go to bestbuy.com and find a store near you. then use my stub and your all good. 10 bucks ftw.
lol that's awesome man, surprised they didnt' noticed or verified the info. i used to work at officemax a long time ago but don't have any of those pay stubs. I'd actually pay for windows if it was $30
My wife works for one of the eligible retailers and I took all the required courses and ordered windows 7 but I haven't heard anything from them (ms expertzone). How long should it take to verify your employment?
so does anyone have the hookup for super cheap <$50 windows 7, either through student or retailer discount??
Windows 7 US Online Store - Student Registration
Enter in your .edu email address, they send you a link, click link, scroll down to the yellow bar select Windows 7 Pro
I'm just looking into it, but turns out you can also get Pro for $30, not Ultimate however
;ladsfjas;lkfj, it is a good deal..... gaaaaaa. But I won't have a computer to run it on for a long time since I'm happy with mine...
