i used to use yahoo messenger back in the old days transferring roms and cd images. im wondering if its still the standard or is there a better alternative/small footprint/ app where i can connect to another user and send/recieve files, large files. im not looking into setting up an ftp, or using online storage, or anything extravagant.. im looking for a quick small app, no fuss, setup, that i can connect directly to send and recieve. thanks for any help.
How large of files are you looking to send? Is this just your pc to another or is it your pc to a "friend's"? The easiest solution I've found to sending large files to other people is Dropbox, either having a shared folder or uploading it to my space and sending them the public URL to download.
