Get it. No, stop f*cking reading and just go get the damn game!

Seriously though, this game is intense. I've put in several hours and probably have seen about 25-30% of the city. It's HUUUUGE. There's a crap-ton of places to trick on and gaps to cross. I'm running through career mode but I get sidetracked so easily because i pass a juicy spot and spend at least 30 minutes tricking on it.

Worth every penny, and I got a free shirt too! I won't be selling this one when i'm done <3

Do the tricks look and "feel" real? A lot of the demo/beta videos I saw had a lot of "exaggerated energy" that came from the board, ala Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Hopefully they fixed a lot of that, and it's a smooth game.

Sounds just like real life skating :)

I may have to go try this game out. Thanks for the review, sir.

It's pretty damn sweet. I played it for a number of hours today.

And as far as its comparison to tony hawk, it's a whole nother ball park.

remember, it's a GAME! :p So a lot of the thigns you do probably can't be done in real life. But all the moves are real. Either way, busting out Tony Hawk crap in this game is damn near impossible.

Yeah, so far the most zany thing ive heard is someone doing a 1080 in the big air. But they ended up 50 feet away from the ramp so it wasn't exactly executed perfectly.

Ok. I'll play the other side and I'll advise against that kind of fuckin boring sports game.

Kthx, you can now return to the positive side.

I liked the feel of the game a lot. It felt a lot less arcade like, but I cannot stand the controls. I hate the button placement for acceleration. Can you remap anything in the final version?

I've been enjoying it so far. I really get annoyed by the pedestrians sometimes though as they tend to get in my way right before a good line. They need a bitchslap button for the annoying pedestrians and they really need a way to get off of your board to set up some of these lines easier.

So I did some work and got skate video embedding to work here on the forums. So post away guys. The url in the image (skate.musiny.com) doesn't actually work right now, I will soon have something setup that is more than just an embed code maker.

To make sure you guys understand how it is used, just use:
    [noparse][skate]url to video[/skate][/noparse]

    Like this as an example:
    [noparse][skate]http://skate.share.ea.com/profiles/20083/posts/142674.aspx[/skate][/noparse]

    Hope you guys enjoy!

Update: Just setup the subdomain. http://skate.musiny.com works now. It is there so you can watch it in a better flash player, get embed code (wont work here, just use the skate bbcode and the video url) or download the flv file.
