I am owed like a dollar fifty lol...a online buddy claims he is owed $3000! I found two of my cousins are owed about 20 bux a piece.

Wonder if it will accrue interest if I let it sit there?

Our state uses a ploy similar to this to find wanted felons and tax evaders.

Wiskas is saying it's a set up.

I cannot really disagree with him.

I came in here expecting a link to some federal government site in which you would be able to choose your state, or enter your SS number or something. "The state" is not relevant to like 80% of this board... pshhh, Californians. I want my 20 seconds back.

I'm in Illinois, so even if the State owed me money, I'd likely never see it. Illinois isn't even paying it's contracts on time. Even their lottery checks have been occasionally bouncing lately! :) We are the Greece of the United States!

The shear size and capability of state/federal databases is scarey. Of coarse they are going to use IT to get as much work done as they can. As state and federal budgets fall victim to the fiscal responsibility axe,
the use of these DB's and IT will begin crossing the lines of what is acceptable. Budget worried bureaucracies would actually be stupid to not take advantage of the full capabilities of the tech available.
