go to schlitterbahn down in new braunfels. It's not too far away, and it's a blast. If you're stuck in the city, go to Freetails brewery, and fiesta texas.
Schlitterbahn was the reason for the trip, but thanks for the input. I'll check out the brewery, might head south on 35 to Nuevo Laredo just because I've never been to Mexico, but I'm not sure how the cartel violence has been lately in that city. I would assume not as bad as Juarez, but I'll look into it before I go. I would definitely walk across as well.
