It finally forced me to use the new skin and it's awful. The star moved from the left to the right within messages (but it's still shown on the left in the listings). Also I tried the dark skins and the message bodys are like WHITE and shit. Seriously, how can you throw gray+black as a sidebar then a white message body. I'm thinking this is a joke or I did something wrong. I feel like a newb. This shit's broken. I used to love gmail.

Okay it's shaping up now. Here's what I did...
    1) The high contast theme isn't too bad. I still don't like the Google+ integration, if you don't have an account it should just hide all that shit.
    2) Under Settings / Inbox clicked "No markers" to hide that Important tag.
    3) Changed Button labels: to Text under General to hide some of those icons.

ZOMG when you do this, the tag comes back! You can't hide the important tag and have text buttons. And the buttons disappear for some reason even though there was nothing in their space. What the hell is going on here!

    Edit 2 --
Okay you can hide it by also turning it off in Settings / Labels / Important / hide

    It still sucks.

    Edit 3 --
It's a shitty piece of crap

Does Postbox have something similar to priority inbox? Not sure I could live without that feature.

Yup got integrated last update. Gmail just adds a flag/label to the important messages and Postbox in turn throws them into an important folder.
