I'm in the market for a new TV to replace my 7 year old 21" Sanyo $80 wallmart grab with something. I currently have my Wii and server attached to it for movie watching. I'm looking for something around 21"-27" widescreen priced between $200-$400. 1080p isn't necessary, I'm not a fanatic. I use my TV maybe 15 hours a week, and even that is alot for me.

Lets have it, I'm pretty much open to anything, but want something that will last. I don't really know much about TVs at all really. LCD is what I'm mostly interested in.

EDIT: I'm not in a rush, so I'm willing to wait for something to go on sale, just don't know what brands or specs/panels to look for. FYI, my TV doesn't even have RCA inputs, COAX only!

Just stay away from vizio and niko's and you'll probably do OK. the sceptre and olevia's are not too bad a no-name brand and are priced well, with good connectivity.
I game and watch movies/tv on a model similar to this all the time and love it.
some say that it's too big for my desk, but to them I say "nuts!" it looks great from 3 feet away and the response time is adequate. Newegg.com - SCEPTRE Black 32" 16:9 8ms LCD HDTV w/ ATSC/QAM Tuner Inside Model X32GV-Komodo - Retail
costco has the same one for 549, but if you can get it local and save shipping at costco, it'll be less, as the shipping at newegg will probably run about 80 bux.
    Costco Sceptre 32" LCD HDTV
Youm should have no problem finding a good 27" set with 1366X768 with hdmi/dvi, component atsc/ntsc and perhaps qam for under 500 bux. word of caution....stay away from 'recertified' and 'Open box' and 'refurbished'. All those are are sets with dead pixels that someone returned for a better set.......in most cases (best case scenario). The industry acceptable standard
is for there to be up to 3 dead/malfunctioning pixels per a 1366X768 aray. most reputable stores will exchange, but not refund for a set with complaints of bad pixels and they offload them by placing those monickers on them. An unreputable store will just sell them as new.
