Meh, I'm just on a laptop for now, since my desktop machine took a dump. I have a Ubuntu 10.10 server, that used to just be an XP box, acquired as part of a deal for one of the Integras I had. Nothing crazy or worth taking a picture of though.

Only thing I care about my setup are my 3x 24" monitors:

My 4th display is the 56" tv in the background when people are over. The computer running this setup isn't that special:

    Intel core2duo e8400 @ 3.6Ghz
    ATI 4870 screens 1 and 2
    ATI 4350 screens 3 and 4
    8gb ddr2 ram
    6.5tb hard drive space
all inside the same lian li pc65 case I bought in 2002, I will never need to buy another case in my life. Unless they change the ATX standard.

Next upgrade: Intel 510 120gb SSD drive. Next upgrade after that is an ATI eyefinity video card.

On a 3-night train ride right now from the very southern tip of India to the far north in Kashmir :p

My trusty netbook: forget the specs but it's an Eee PC with an Intel Atom, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD and so on.

My sidekick: a 2007 Macbook. Got it in my senior year of high school and missed the 'free ipod touch deal' by a matter of months. :( Since then I've replaced screen, bezel, those fucking grey bezel clips, ram, and hard drive (which I ran to death). Speaking of which, my battery stopped taking a charge tonight after over 1400+ cycles so I just ordered a new one.

FWIW, it's cheaper to replace than the MagSafe charger ($34.50 vs $60). I'm not complaining though, it lasted much longer than I thought it would.

It takes a good beating in coming with me everywhere, but it's held up considerably well. I keep it clean with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Still jelly of my girlfriend's new macbook though. :)

Edit: Damn Lurker, that setup is hawt!

I've got a gifted laptop. If you can't see, that's a re-purposed rubber band holding the AC cord in because the battery doesn't work and the connection is looser than my sister. And it's just occurring to me that my entire life (well, at least from 3 or 4 on) I've always had my own computer and it's always been free.

    I win. Suck it.
