    quit fucking whining...

Wierd you bring this up, yesterday I knocked my knee on a box while I was lifting something at work. No biggie, an hour and a half later it was throbbing, then by the time I got to my door after work the pain was getting pretty bad. Went to bed early, around 7 or so, woke up at ten and the pain was incredible! Couldn't fucking walk, I had to slide my ass up the stairs to go and take a piss, I was sure that I was going to miss work. I popped 3 aspirins and hit the sack, woke up and it was still pretty bad.

I dislocated my knee about 3 years ago now, I guess its really sensitive to injury now as the past couple days have shown. However, all is well at the moment, no pain at all :D

Man, you're all too young to be having knee problems. My knees are so abused, next year may be the year to get new ones (seriously). I hobble around as best I can, but getting up and down ladders is escruciating as hell. They've been getting steadily worse as the years pass. When the cold wet weather hits I'm almost screaming at times. All the men on my dad's side of the family have had knee replacements. then, there's the other parts of my body that're going to hell real quick. I hate getting old.

I've entertained the thought of turning to the medical MJ law to deal with pain. But the thought of going back to
that stuff, is worse than the thought of living with the pain.

    But still....short women FTW! :)
If I'd have known I was going to live this long..........I'd have taken better care of myself. I may have survived a
life of wreckless abandon and addiction, but my bod is all torn up and "the bill has come due and payable". i feel real bad for those of you that have to, undeservingly, experience pain through no fault of your own. My pains are from
being in self destruct mode so I have a hard time justifying complaining about it.
i have to vent it off every so often to keep it from getting bottled up too much and cause depression.

I have horrible joint problems.... I have bad shoulders/hips/knees/ankles, but have yet to fail any physical test set in front of me. I ache and all of my joints pop and crack. My shoulders sound like popcorn, and pop in-out of socket at random. I am at least going to get my shoulders fixed by the Navy. I'm looking at exploritory surgery on both (as x-rays haven't shown anything), and at least 2 years worth of surgery... You can all guess why I've been putting it off....

bwahaha :) I wouldn't suggest it out of the blue, but since Hans is already "doin the party", Swapping booze for joints is the best course of action to continue partying.

Anyways, pot is a great painkiller. If there was no psychotropic side effects to it, I'm sure that the most effective painkillers would be composed of THC and other cannabinoids.

But as a professionnal, you gotta pay attention to who you suggest that kind of "alternative" medicine. It's addictive, can cause mental problems (but sometime alleviate them in small doses), etc.

ive been having neck stiffness and pain the past week or so.. and the soreness is trickling down to my lower back, the sides of the spinal. Could be a result of either bad posture sitting at the computer, sleeping pillows, or turning my neck around so much driving on the forklift... if it doesnt go down over this weekend im going to see a doctor.

i hope it isnt meningitis, but ive been doing the test stretches with no pain..

dude, quit whining. i wrecked a fourwheeler and absolutley destroyed my knee. i was waking up screaming because of pain. about a week later i went through my combat training with 3 pretty intense hikes.

are you on naproxen? because that shit blows hard. go to sick call until they give you like tylenol 3 or something.

wait, i forgot to ask, is it swollen?

I find that online game playing takes my mind off of things when my rotten teeth felt like icepicks being driven by hammers, or when my back went bad so I couldn't really move because of the pain. Heating pads also work for the back pain really well. I prefer avoiding medication even when my pain is at the worst, so I look for alternatives like the above.

Fortunately my back isn't that bad very often. And my two bad teeth were pulled. Though another one is starting to show signs of wear and tear...

Kain, prescribe MJ, then treat their addiction probs? You docs get-em comin and goin don't ya?;) ;) Nice job if you can get it.
Learn to care for your bodies guys, no one else will do it for you.
The few days I wake and something does not hurt I take the day off and celebrate, shit, if I could put three together I might take a vacation.

Have they done any imaging of the knee beyond a simple x-ray? At this point I would insist on a MRI or similar to see what's going on it there.

In the mean time you might try some glucosamin condriton. I take it every day, no joint or back pain anymore.

Just a X-Ray I've only had two vistis. I take that, a multivitamin, fish oil/flaxseed, and the pain med.
